Welcome to Retro Watches – A small + flexible retail business based in North Yorkshire
Ian Abbott t/a Retro Watches Harrogate – Harrogate Watch Dealer
We aim for the outlook and professionalism of a large online retailer.
You are however, dealing with an individual who provides a dedicated, friendly service.
We have been an online business since 2013 (in the trade since 2009) and have had display cabinets at retail centres in Harrogate, Saltaire (Salts Mill), Leeds, Knaresborough & Hull.
Today we are based solely at 27 West Park, Harrogate.
We have sold thousands of watches to online customers from all over the world.
When you deal with us you are supporting small business and in turn the local economy and the many small businesses, specialist traders, watchmakers and suppliers with whom we work closely.
It’s been our ethos to champion emerging micro brands and unique timepieces, to create our own brands, import the best value best selling fashion watches and always aim to deliver value.
We guarantee the smooth running of each watch movement in every watch which we sell (-the movement, not accidental damage / wear and tear – see terms)
2018 has been our most challenging year so far, in addition to a slow start to the year in retail generally, in February ’18 we had several thousand pounds of stock stolen from our cabinets at 27 West Park (Featured on CrimeWatch in June 2018) and in March ’18 the ebay gods unfairly decided that our top-rated seller account with 3,016 100% feedback should be indefinitely suspended from selling, without appeal.
Rather than dwell on these set-backs we are focusing on developing our website and putting all our energies into running the cabinet at 27 West Park.
We always have one premier luxury timepiece on display, together with our own brand of great value fashion watches for only 20 GBP each, popular watch straps and rare designer wall clocks for your home + office.
Thank you for your support and please visit our cabinet 27 West Park.
Watch Repair Testimonial
The watch’s sentimental appeal to me was its appearance – the gold casing and gold mesh strap, but it also needed to work as a timepiece if I was to continue wearing it.After numerous, costly failed attempts to get the watch to work for an extended period by various reputable establishments over the last three years, Ian’s watch repairer was able to fit it with a new movement, for a very reasonable charge.
